Immersive Da Vinci and Van Gogh Showcase Opens in Delhi
This summer, Delhi is set to host an extraordinary convergence of art, technology, and storytelling. The Pavillion at DLF Promenade welcomes an innovative and immersive art experience, spotlighting the unparalleled works of two of history’s most iconic artists — Leonardo da Vinci and Vincent van Gogh. Running from May 24 through August 31, this spectacular showcase is brought to life through a creative partnership between DLF Malls and The Legends Immersive Cinema.
Spread across a sprawling 4,300 square feet, the exhibition merges the traditional mastery of Renaissance and Post-Impressionist art with state-of-the-art technology. With 35 laser projectors, 13 interactive lidar sensors, and an enveloping Dolby Atmos sound system, visitors are transported into the heart of each artist’s creative universe.
The experience is divided into two immersive journeys:
Da Vinci Genius
This 45-minute segment is a deep dive into the brilliance of Leonardo da Vinci — painter, inventor, scientist, and philosopher. Set to an original soundtrack crafted by Grammy-winning artist DJ Sasha, Da Vinci Genius takes visitors on a captivating visual journey with floor-to-ceiling projections of his most iconic masterpieces, such as The Mona Lisa and The Vitruvian Man.
But this is no ordinary art exhibit — it’s interactive and intelligent. Using advanced AI, guests can animate da Vinci’s legendary inventions and even “speak” with the enigmatic Mona Lisa through a feature called Art Meets AI, blending historical intrigue with futuristic tech in a way that redefines how we engage with classic art.
Van Gogh – An Immersive Story
In contrast to da Vinci’s methodical genius, the second part of the exhibit immerses audiences in the raw emotion and vibrant colour of Vincent van Gogh’s world. Through over 300 animated pieces, including globally recognized works like Starry Night and Sunflowers, Van Gogh’s troubled yet brilliant life story unfolds before the viewer’s eyes.
This 40-minute experience is supported by a powerful voiceover narration and a specially curated musical score that captures the turbulence, passion, and brilliance of the Dutch master. From his early sketches to his explosive use of colour, the journey charts Van Gogh’s artistic evolution, offering a profound emotional experience as much as a visual one.
