The Art Life Gallery has today unrolled an exclusive group art show, Soul Chakra, by six talented artists, Neelam Sachan, Shweta Nim, Vernika Srivastava, Sabia Khan, Arun Prabha and Vivek Singh. The show, will be on for two weeks from August 30 to September 13, 2019. The gallery timings are from 10am-6pm for viewing the show of  paintings.

Even as the show is based on spirituality in art to help the mind calm down, not many have explored the elements of art and spirituality in the subconscious to the extentwhere painting in specific has become therapeutic, says Pratibha Agarwal, the co-founder and director of the gallery, who has also curated the show. At the tips of the artists’ brush the divide between the real and the intangible collapse in the form of masterpieces that tantalize your eyes and stroke your intelligence, adds Agarwal.

Arun Prabha, whose works have been featured in several exhibitions and is well appreciated has created some scintillating works of deities like Kali, another form of goddess Parvati.  Ganesha, is another deity, she has painted. “For me, art is God and I find solace in the fact that when I am painting a deity or nature, I feel I am one with God.

“I have been painting and training students in art for some time now and I think in the process of learning art, students also learn to control the negativity within,” says artist Neelam Sachan, who also teaches art.  For Neelam, expression of delight and positivity all keep her energy chakras in tact.

Varnika, another artist has painted women with her joys and her plight. The stories she conveys through her brush on the canvas may seem just another pleasant burst of colours and forms to an uninitiated viewer but behind the colours are stories untold.  “The portrayal of women in each of my paintings tells a whole new aspect of an entirely different and unique dimension,” explains Varnika. The diminutive details that she uses to portray emotions, manoeuvres and subtlety, morphs her artwork into a serenic beauty.

Vivek Singh and Sabia Khan both of whom have painted abstracts in vibrant colours are happy to observe that the touch of colours while painting gives them a sense of serenity that no other activity does. Sabia is a senior artist who has her works displayed in private collections in US, UK and Hong Kong.

Shweta Nim is looking to art a challenging role that world put to best use her competencies, capabilities, skills and education to enrich the value zone. In practicing art, she is looking for an opportunity where her knowledge and skills can be best utilized for the benefit of the society and generations to come.
